Our Story, Since 1996
It started before the first shop.
Before Ami Optics had a shopfront in Virar, Vinodchandra Vora was supplying spectacle frames to opticians across the region from Mumbai's wholesale market. When that trade wound down, the craft stayed in the family.
In 1996 two of his sons, Jignesh and Jatin, opened one small shop tucked off the road. Some mornings no one came in. They opened the shutters anyway. Three decades on, that one shop has grown into three, run by the same family.
